ROBERTA PORTELLA
Attorney licensed in both Brazil and Portugal, specializing in legal advisory for domestic and international clients across various matters related to cross‑border trade in goods and services—particularly in International Economic Law, Intellectual Property, International Contracts, import/export controls, foreign investment, and government affairs in Brazil.
Roberta teaches in the LL.M. and MBA Law programs at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), Brazil. Her research and teaching interests include International Economic Law, International Trade Relations, Intellectual Property Law, International Treaties, WTO, Customs Law, International Contracts, and dispute resolution in international trade via Mediation and Arbitration.
She serves as Vice‑President of the Foreign Trade Commission at OAB/SP, Vice‑President of Normative Affairs at AfroChamber – Brazil‑Africa Chamber of Commerce, and Legal and Institutional Relations Advisor at AEB (Brazilian Foreign Trade Association).
Education: Master’s in International and Comparative Law from University of São Paulo (USP); LLM in Corporate Law from IBMEC; MBA in Foreign Trade and International Business from FGV; LL.B. from Universidade Cândido Mendes (RJ).
Fluent in Portuguese and English. Guest speaker in Brazil and abroad, including Fordham University and UC Berkeley, USA
